We will only share personal data with others when we are legally permitted to do so and when we do so, we put contractual arrangements and security mechanisms in place to protect the data and to comply with our data protection, confidentiality and security standards. KAZ Minerals does not sell or otherwise release personal data to third parties for the purpose of allowing them to market their products and services.
We may transfer personal data within the KAZ Minerals Group and this may involve transferring data outside the European Union ("EU”). We have taken steps to ensure all personal data is provided with adequate protection and that all transfers of personal data outside the EU are done lawfully. Where we transfer personal data outside the EU to a country not determined by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of protection for personal data, the transfers will be under an agreement which covers the EU requirements for the transfer of personal data outside the EU, including the European Commission approved standard contractual clauses. We retain the personal data processed by us for as long as is considered necessary for the purpose for which it was collected (including as required by applicable law or regulation). KAZ Minerals processes personal data about business contacts (including existing and potential KAZ Minerals customers, suppliers, subcontractors and/or individuals associated with them) as part of its contracting procedures. For example, data might be contained in application forms, CVs or resumes, obtained from your passport or other identity documents, or collected through interviews or other forms of assessment. Your information will be shared internally to a limited degree for the purposes of the recruitment exercise. This includes with members of the HR and recruitment team, interviewers involved in the recruitment process, managers in the business area with a vacancy and IT staff if access to the data is necessary for the performance of their roles. We will not share your data with third parties, unless your application for employment is successful and an offer of employment is made to you. We may then share your data with former employers to obtain references for you, employment background check providers to obtain necessary background checks and the Disclosure and Barring Service to obtain necessary criminal records checks.
If your application for employment is unsuccessful, we will hold your data on file for 12 months after the end of the relevant recruitment process. At the end of that period, your data is deleted or destroyed.
Visitors to our website are generally in control of the personal data shared with us and personal data is collected only when the visitor volunteers it.
