Ilyas Tulekeev

Ilyas Tulekeev is the Head of KAZ Minerals Bozymchak LLC, the company implementing the Bozymchak copper-gold mining project in the Kyrgyz Republic. He was appointed General Director of the company in 2011, joined the KAZ Minerals Group in 2006.

He graduated from the Lenin Kazakh Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Metallurgical Engineering, specializing in Non-Ferrous Metallurgy. He also holds qualifications in Finance and Economics, as well as an MBA in International Business from the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.

He holds a PhD in Economics and is an Honorary Professor of the Kyrgyz State University of Geology, Mining and Natural Resources Development.

In recognition of his long-standing contribution to the development of the mining industry and to strengthening cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan, he has been awarded state and departmental honors by both countries.
