Primary purpose of the role is to ensure that all persons conducting crane/lifting activities onsite (operational and maintenance) are competent to do so in a safe and efficient manner
Second purpose is to pass on expertise (skills, experience, systems and processes) to the National Trainers so they can become self-sufficient in maintaining a competent workforce ie. Train the trainers.
Mapping out training plans and designing and developing training programs for employees.
Conduct high risk training in cranes, rigging, scaffolding, working at heights and any other site requirements
Train and assess mobile equipment trainees (forklifts, tele-handler, Overhead cranes, HIAB cranes, light to heavy trucks, and vehicle load tie down training).
Monitor the training compliance for all crane maintenance works
Ensure all relevant training documentation is translated accurately by qualified translators from English into Russian (and Kazakh if required)
Facilitating crane mechanics to become recognized and certified in repairs of mobile, crawler, OHC, pedestal, and HIAB cranes.
Ensure compliance and high risk document records are retained as per KAZ Minerals guidelines.
Perform regular assessments of the state of the overall site lifting compliance program in coordination with the relevant stakeholders.
Ensuring compliance with Mining Regulations on inspections and certification of lifting equipment, tools and lifting equipment repairs.
Assist with incident investigations as and when required.
Perform other tasks assigned by the Line Manager within own competence.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Advanced Technical Trade Qualification from recognised Institutions
Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment (TAE)
Accredited Trainer & Assessor against a recognized awarding body
Computer literate, with a good of Microsoft Office skills
Minimum of ten years’ experience within mining industry in a site-based training role or similar
Sound knowledge of contemporary Training Practice and compliance
Experience working in large multicultural and diverse organisations/environments
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels
