Senior Planning Engineer (long-term budget)

JOB DUTIES:
1. Ensure operation of mine planning management system.
2. Design, amend and update pit designs, designs of dumps and roads under the supervision of Technical Services
Manager.
3. Prepare and release forecasts, budgets and calendar schedules for the life of mine to ensure performance of Mine
Production Department at production and auxiliary facilities, as well as to ensure construction of DLP and
maintaining crusher feed.
4. Within the budget, schedules and forecast it is necessary to determine and implement efficiency improvement
and cost reduction projects.
5. Support Mine Engineers by timely provision of accurate mining plans to the Production department.
6. Update all mine planning systems including geological resource models, survey data, pit development plans,
performance diagrams and recovery rates with the aim to use it as source data for future mine planning,
determining development stages and optimum production targets.
7. Prepare mine planning presentations, reports and technical presentations at a professional level.
8. Prepare offers, analysis and technical reports on the design.
9. Maintain close interaction with Mine Production and Mine Maintenance Departments to ensure the
accomplishment of production targets.
10. Assist with developing and improving operating procedures and standards.
11. Work within the engineering team to implement production plans and procedures and to meet budget targets.
12. Sequentially perform duties of Technical Services Manager together with other team members while he is absent
onsite.
13. Perform other tasks set by the Line Manager within professional competence.

Requirements:
• Higher (or postgraduate) education in relevant specialty.
• 3-5 years of corresponding work experience in open pit mining in the same role (working at copper deposit is a plus).
• Knowledge of mining and maintenance operations (for example, D&B, loading and hauling, maintenance and planning works, relations of equipment manufacturers/suppliers/consultant).
• Knowledge of management system principles in terms ofmine planning, survey and geology.
• Knowledge offleet management systems such as Dispatch, Jigsaw or MineStar.
• Proficiency in Leica Jigsaw FMS (Vehicle Fleet Management System) for corresponding business sphere.
• Advance skills in 3D mine modelling and mine planning software (GEOVIA Surpac, Minesched, Whittle, etc.).
• Competent user of business SW, namely Microsoft Office, Oracle E-business suite and Ellipse CMMS;
• Knowledge of mine planning and mine designing methods, ability to apply this knowledge while planning mine operations.
