Prepare and manage the development of the short, medium and long-term maintenance plans to meet or exceed the utilization and availability goals for the processing equipment and other support facilities and equipment.
Prepare detailed maintenance plans to facilitate equipment repairs to include required parts, support equipment, contractor services, tools, manpower and procedures.
Manage communication with Maintenance and Operations supervision for development, coordination and execution of maintenance plans.
Assist with preparing budgets to support short, medium and long-term maintenance plans.

Manage emergency work requests as required to support and maintain operational efficiency.
Manage the CMMS program to insure equipment, parts, inventory and material supply are adequate to support planned maintenance activities.
Maintain close liaison with OEMs and suppliers to ensure correct levels of stock are maintained.
Coordinate, communicate and manage maintenance plans to insure proactive planned maintenance activities and equipment reliability.
Develop, maintain and improve area and work standards and procedures.
Develop accurate forecasting of labour and material needs to provide parts and resources needed to deliver the work plan, and measure the quality of the work undertaken.
Ensure that communications are timely and efficient with regard to staff, senior management and other groups as appropriate. This communication will include and senior site meetings including but not limited to backlog, shutdown and scheduling meetings, reports as determined by senior management, programmed coordination meetings with operations and maintenance and other meetings as required.
Work as part of a team to establish and implement departmental policies, objectives and procedures;
Provide assistance for subordinate staff, including activities such as preparing work schedules, preparing job descriptions and assigning specific duties and tasks.
Ensure that the highest safety, health and environmental standards are met or exceeded and promote a culture of awareness and commitment to safe working practices.
Implement other tasks given by Line manager within own competence.
Higher (or postgraduate) education in the relevant specialty and work experience in the specialty for at least 5 years.
3 years of experience in relevant managerial positions in maintenance planning and quality management and strategic asset management planning throughout the life cycle, preferably in ore processing facilities or similar heavy industry.
Experience with business process development for maintenance at a Start-up operations.
