Facilitate, conduct studies and define plans to manage issues with industrial electrical and control systems.
Ensure smooth operation, proper maintenance, repair and modernization of power equipment, electric and thermal networks, air lines and gas pipelines.
Support daily, weekly and monthly planning of electrical work and activities.
Ensure the quality of output on the electrical components are in line with the needs of the company, client and regulatory authorities.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues to meet plant efficiency goals.
Monitor and mentor employees and always promote harmonious work environment.
Provide positive leadership to the workforce promoting adherence to safety policies.
Carry out routine audits to ensure electrical statutory compliance and provide guidance to the electrical supervisors and planners.
Identify the need for technical upgrading, development of energy facilities, reconstruction and modernization of power systems.
Provide support where necessary in the testing of Electric Equipment, Transformers, Switchgear and networks in commercial operation, in consideration of the causes of accidents of power equipment and develop measures for their prevention, creating safe working conditions.
Fill in for the Engineering Superintendent while that position is off-site as required.
Provide guidance and recommendations for all electrical infrastructure maintenance.
Identify and support training for electrical staff to improve skills.
Define scope of work and development of maintenance contracts.
Facilitate management and compliance with RoK regulations, statutes and laws.
Work in conjunction with E&I Superintendent for developing Electrical Certification program to level 5 within the Company for ensuring all High Voltage employees reach a high standard of safety.
Implement other tasks given by Line Manager within own competence, at any location within the project site.
Higher (or postgraduate) education in the relevant specialty and work experience in the specialty for at least 3 years.
Certification in High Voltage electrical equipment maintenance and repair; and knowledge of electrical safety to the Qualification Group V.
3 years of experience at relevant Electrical engineering roles preferably in Fixed Plant Ore Processing Facilities or similar heavy industry.
Knowledge of electrical maintenance requirements.
Knowledge of maintenance and fault finding principles and processes.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and specifications.
Knowledge of the RoK legislative and other normative acts, methodological and other materials relating to electrical maintenance activities.
Knowledge of the basics of RoK Labor Code, internal work order, HSE rules and regulations, fire safety requirements.
Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and AutoCAD.
Developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
Ability to maintain composure under stressful situations and conflicting priorities
Skills in report writing and problem solving.
License for the operation of an elevated work platform is preferable.
