Carry out cut - off grade estimation (cut-off grade estimation to be conducted taking into account actual prices for metal, concentrator’s rate of return, mining costs and other economic indexes. There may be changes with the classification of materials).
Conduct drilling analysis, material sampling and quality control along with resource modelling and grade analysis to determine deposit parameters.
Initiate protocols on porphyry ores, train geologists on mining operations and exploration works to determine and record all important characteristics of copper porphyry deposits.
Assist with updating Fusion/DH software based on corresponding information on porphyry ore.
Develop technical characteristics on the structure, hydrogeology and rock mass (with respect to geotechnical strength, sulfur/acid generating minerals, etc.) with the aim of releasing strategic plans for mine development.
Promote trainings for the local personnel within one’s team to meet Company requirements.
Perform other tasks assigned by the Line Manager within own competence.
Higher (or postgraduate) education in relevant specialty.
Not less than 5 years of work experience in a managerial position in the field of geology (it is also preferable to have work experience at open-pit copper deposit).
Advance skills in the geological modelling SW (Datamine/Surpac).
Advance knowledge of mine planning computer systems.
Work experience using geostatistical methods with the aim of consulting about required amount of samples and improved data collection system.
Experience in geological resource modelling at copper deposits (preferably), by means of Surpac or Datamine software.
Work experience in geotechnical and hydrogeological sphere for assessment of pit slope stability and solutions related to groundwater issues.
Work experience in data purification to ensure accurate tracking of ore grades and production losses.
Proficiency in Leica Jigsaw FMS (Vehicle Fleet Management System) for corresponding business sphere.
Experience of work with government institutions, incl. MID (MINT, SRC, CCED, Centrkaznedra, etc.
Experience in obtaining geological TEJC, PPM, ect.
Knowledge of the RoK legislation and standards in geological sphere.
Basic knowledge of the RoK Labour Code, HSE rules and regulations, fire safety requirements.
Skills in prioritizing the tasks with strict adherence to HSE rules and the use of the best practices.
Ability to determine hazardous work conditions.
Solid computer skills in Microsoft Office SW and Ellipse CMMS.
Ability to make independent decisions and manage conflicting priorities.
