The East Region together with Bozymchak constitute KAZ Minerals’ producing asset base following the restructuring.
In 2015, the East Region mined approximately 4.0 MT of ore at a copper grade of 2.41%, and produced 86.3 kt of copper in concentrate. In the same period the East Region generated EBITDA (excluding special items) of $235 million before MET. Sustaining capital expenditure in the East region was $64 million in 2015.
